Hello, I'm Dawn, a warm, compassionate counsellor dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges with care and understanding. My aim is to offer a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted just as you are.
My passion for working with people comes from my own life experiences, where I've seen how powerful it can be to have someone alongside you during difficult times. It's in these moments when having space to gain clarity and perspective can make make all the difference.
This understanding inspired me to become a counsellor, and today, I am proud to support individuals on their journey toward healing. Alongside my private practice, I have worked with a local Bereavement Service, helping those dealing with complex grief and a Community Hub offering counselling to the local community. My background also includes volunteering as a Samaritans Listener, providing compassionate support to those in moments of crisis.
With over 25 years experience working with animals, I also recognize the profound bonds we share with our pets and how they impact our emotional well-being.
I am committed to being the best counsellor I can be by continually professional development, ensuring I offer thoughtful, informed support. I work with clients experiencing bereavement, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression pet loss, family challenges, complex grief. My aim is to walk alongside you with empathy and care, providing the support, and tools you need to find clarity and healing.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy and Gestalt. This allows me to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience.
I believe true well-being comes from the connection between four key aspects of self: mind, body, emotions and soul. When these parts align, we feel more balanced and at peace. In our sessions, we will explore what each part is communicating - such as the difference between what the mind tells us and what the heart feels - helping you gain clarity and deeper self awareness.
Everyone's journey is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we will find the right path for you. If you're ready to begin, reach out today to take the first step toward healing and growth.
